Business Development Representative

Position Objective:

The objective of the Business Development Representative is to engage prospects through various inbound and outbound means for “lead generation” and “lead qualification”. In addition, the Business Development Representative will work closely with Outside Sales to maximize new client opportunities. Likes working for smaller organizations that are actively growing, where their ideas and contributions directly impact the company’s success, direction, and growth.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for product and services knowledge in order to answer prospect questions
  • Generate new sales opportunities by connecting with inbound leads, outbound calls, and prospecting emails
  • Reach out to prospects as a follow-up on specific marketing campaigns
  • Assist the marketing team with generating interest in attending sponsored events
  • Attend approved marketing or networking events (as needed)
  • Achieve or exceed weekly and monthly activity points goals
  • Manage leads in our CRM
  • Research accounts, identify decision-makers, and generate interest
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospects to nurture future opportunities
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Outside Sales Representative for further development and closure
  • Any other duties assigned to you by management

Required Skills:

  • Proven sales experience (ideal)
  • Track record of working within a quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience making prospecting calls
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with a CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Passion for engaging with new people
  • Motivated to learn
  • Motivated to sell

Compensation: Base hourly rate plus incentives; Appointments set and deals closing earn bonus compensation

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
